AACC coordinates company meetings for the
President of the Egyptian Space Agency

From 2-6 June 2023, the Austro-Arab Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Vienna coordinated company meetings for H.E. Dr. Sherif Sedky, the President of the Egyptian Space Agency, during his visit in Austria.
The meetings provided selected companies based in Austria and specialized in space and satellite solutions with the opportunity to present their portfolios and engage in discussions regarding potential cooperation and project opportunities.
The first meeting was held online with RHP Technology GmbH, a solution provider for customized materials and advanced processing techniques based on powder technology. The CEO of the company, DI Dr. Eric Neubauer, delivered a presentation on their portfolio by highlighting their capabilities and expertise.
The second meeting took place in-person at the premises of TTTech Group, a renowned company headquartered in Vienna, known for its focus on reliability, robustness, and safety in technological solutions. TTTech Group has established itself as a key player in the space industry, collaborating with leading space agencies worldwide on research and development projects. H.E. Dr. Sherif Sedky and Mr. Khaled Elmenshawy, Counsellor at the Egyptian Embassy in Vienna were warmly welcomed by Mr. Werner Köstler, Member of the Executive Board at TTTech and Mr. Christian Fidi, Senior Vice President of BU Aerospace, who both introduced the company’s profile in detail.

The third meeting was again held online and involved Beyond Gravity Austria GmbH, a Swiss owned company and the most industrialized equipment supplier and sub-system integrator to commercial and institutional customers in Europe, Asia and the US, leading the market in selected products. Following a cordial welcome and an introduction by its CEO Dipl.-Ing. Kurt Kober, Key Account Director ESA & OHB Mr. Georg Grabmayr proceeded to present the company's overall portfolio.
The President of the Egyptian Space Agency Dr. Sherif Sedky, on his turn, provided all companies with a concise overview of the Agency, shedding light on their achievements, cooperations with international partners and future plans. Seizing the opportunity, he extended an invitation to the companies to come to Egypt and visit the new Space City Campus, which will be completed by September 2023. This Campus is not only headquarters for the Egyptian Space Agency, but also hosts the African Space Agency in its premises. He also invited the companies to participate in individual trainings sessions and to use the modern facilities of the Agency for future projects and testing.
Furthermore, H.E. Dr. Sedky warmly welcomed the companies to take part in an international conference slated for October 2023. The conference, organized by the Egyptian Space Agency, aims to bring together experts and industry leaders from around the world. He also informed that the Agency had been chosen to host the forthcoming meeting of the Arab Space Cooperation Group, scheduled to take place on October 30, 2023, which reflects the Agency’s increasing significance in the field of space exploration and their dedication to promoting cooperation among Arab nations in the realm of space science and technology.
These meetings served as an excellent platform for the companies to showcase their expertise and engage in meaningful discussions with the President of the Egyptian Space Agency, exploring how to benefit from potential collaboration, with a particular focus on transferring advanced technology to Egypt and effectively leveraging the available facilities. All participants expressed their commitment to fostering a strong partnership and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
