AACC President, Secretary General and Member of the Board of Directors participate in the 26th Arab-German Business Forum

AACC’s President Former Minister H.E. Dr. Werner Fasslabend, Secretary General Mouddar Khouja and Member of the Board of Directors Former Minister H.E. Mr. Herbert Scheibner participated in the 26th Arab-German Business Forum of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ghorfa) that took place from 5-7 June 2023 in Berlin. The forum was marked by the participation of over 300 chairmen and high-level representatives of Arab chambers and official institutions, ambassadors, businessmen and decision-makers from all over the world.
President Dr. Fasslabend was warmly welcomed by his German counterpart Former Minister H.E. Dr. Peter Ramsauer, President of Ghorfa, and seized the opportunity to meet with the distinguished participants.
In his opening speech, Dr. Ramsauer highlighted the changes and developments that have led to prosperity in many Arab countries and encouraged participants to take advantage of the forum to forge economic partnerships and strengthen collaboration in order to meet global challenges.
Among the other VIP speakers at the opening were H.E. Sameer Abdulla Nass, the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Current President of the Union of Arab Chambers; H.E. Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Maliki, Deputy Secretary General for Economic Affairs at the League of Arab States, and member of AACC’s Board of Directors; and H.E. Dr. Mustafa Adib, Ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon and Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps in Berlin.
Following that, distinguished speakers took the stage and covered several important topics during the two-day conference program, including planning and building smart cities, leveraging business opportunities in the Egyptian construction market, venture capital investment, growing markets and changing economies in different sectors, transport and logistics trends, Egypt's commitment to sustainability and economic reform, trends in transportation, aviation, logistics, and infrastructure, and round tables on business and investment opportunities in Bahrain and Egypt.
