Nabil Kuzbari appointed Honorary President, and Mag. Louai Kuzbari elected as the new Arab President
In the Ordinary AACC General Assembly, which took place on Wednesday, 23rd Oct. 2024, the Founding Father of the AACC, KR Nabil Kuzbari, made the decision to step back as the Arab President of the AACC after 35 years of continuous support and active engagement in the AACC. The General Assembly unanimously decided to appoint him as Honorary President for Life and thanked him with a big applause.
After covering the regular items on the agenda, a report by the President, Dr. Fasslabend, the detailed Activities Report of the AACC, the financial results for the year 2023, and an outlook for the year 2024 were presented. Following the Statement of the Auditor of the AACC, the discharge process of the Board, Executive Committee, and the Treasurer took place.
In Vienna City Hall, the place of the establishment of the AACC, the GA proceeded with the Election Process of its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. As the successor to Mr. Nabil Kuzbari, Mag. Louai Kuzbari was designated. Mr. Louai Kuzbari is the CEO of Vimpex and an AACC Board Member to date. Additional honorable Arab and Austrian Board Members were designated.
With a palpable sense of purpose and unity, attendees engaged in a smooth and decisive electoral process. The atmosphere was one of optimism and collaboration, reflecting the chamber's commitment to advancing its mission.
In a powerful display of unanimity, all votes were cast in favor of the proposed candidates, marking a significant vote of confidence in the chamber's future direction and leadership. The assembly highlighted the importance of cooperation between Arab and Austrian members, reinforcing the bonds that have been cultivated over the years.
Prominent figures were in attendance, representing both the Arab and Austrian communities. This gathering was not only about leadership elections but also served as a platform for discussing the strategic vision for the chamber’s future initiatives. It emphasized the ongoing commitment of both sides to deepening economic ties, fostering trade relations, and enhancing cultural exchanges.
With the election wrapped up and enthusiasm running high, the General Assembly concluded at 11:00 am, setting a positive tone for the events that were to follow throughout the day.
