The Austro-Arab Chamber of Commerce presents its compliments and is honoured to convey an update regarding legalization of Austrian export documents for the Sultanate of Oman as follows:
After intensive discussions with the embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Vienna and the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA), AACC was able to ensure that all documents intended for export, in particular certificates of origin and invoices, must meet the following requirements:
- Signature of the locally responsible chamber of commerce (depending on the Austrian federal state)
- Attestation by AACC
- Attestation by the embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Vienna
The following applies to health certificates issued by an unofficial body:
- Attestation by the responsible office of the state government (depending on the Austrian federal state)
- Signature of the locally responsible chamber of commerce (depending on the Austrian federal state)
- Attestation by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection
- Attestation by AACC
- Attestation by the embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Vienna
An attestation of the documents by the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA) is not required.
