On Wednesday 17 May 2023, the Austro-Arab Chamber of Commerce invited Austrian companies of the industrial sector for a Round Table to meet with high-level representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and other institutions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to discuss scopes of cooperation, future projects and partnerships.
The Saudi delegation comprised of HE Mr. Mohammed Alswailem, Deputy Minister for Industrial Services; HE Mr. Albadr Foudeh, Deputy Minister for Development and Empowerment; Mr. Ahmed Alzawawi, Assistant Deputy Minister for Industrial Development, Mr. Abdulrhman Albesher, Assistant Deputy Minister for Licensing and Industrial Compliance; Mr. Abdulrahman Almugairin, General Manager of Organizations and International Relations; Mr. Nasser Alasmari, Corporate Communication Director; Mr. Ali Alsoma, CEO of National Industry Information Center; and Mr. Saif Alharthi, Project Manager at the Ministry.
In addition to the delegates in person, there were Saudi representatives joining online to present the kingdom’s Investment and Green Initiatives.
From the Austrian side, the participants comprised of HE Former Minister Dr. Werner Fasslabend, President of the Austro-Arab Chamber of Commerce; DI Mouddar Khouja, Secretary General of the Austro-Arab Chamber of Commerce; H.E. Mr. Hans Niessl, Former Governor of the Federal Austrian Province of Burgenland; Dr. Stephan Sharma, CEO, Chair of the Supervisory Board, Burgenland Energie AG; Dr. Ljubomir Savic, Projektmanager Sales, Linde Hydrogen Fueltech; Mr. Mathias Deuring, Company Skinrock; Mr. Samuel Krupensky, Company Kruner; and DI Damir Zibrat, Representative of Company TG Mess-, Steuer- und Regeltechnik GmbH.
The participants exchanged and presented their portfolios and paved the way for further potential cooperation and engagement in the Kingdom of Saudi-Arabia in the future.
