the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain for a Fare-well Visit

On 11 July 2023, AACC President H.E. Former Minister Dr. Werner Fasslabend and Member of AACC Board Directors Dr. Ernst Huber received His Excellency Dr. Yusuf Abdulkarim Bucheeri, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain accredited to Austria, for a fare-well visit at the premises of the Austro-Arab Chamber of Commerce.
The President of AACC commended the excellent cooperation between the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Geneve with AACC during the past years under the lead of His Excellency Dr. Bucheeri.
Ambassador Dr. Bucheeri, on his turn, expressed his high appreciation for AACC’s efforts in strengthening Austro-Arab relation, and conveyed personal regards from His Excellency Dr. Samir Nas, President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Current President of the Union of Arab Chambers - AACC’s umbrella organization - to the AACC President and the Secretary General.
He informed that His Excellency Dr. Nas and related chambers would be pleased to organize joint events in the upcoming months with focus on Bahrain. In this context, the Ambassador also invited AACC to take an active role in celebrations and activities around the upcoming 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Austria and the Kingdom of Bahrain in the forthcoming year 2024.
Further to this, H.E. Dr. Bucheeri asked for AACC’s active support regarding the opening of bilateral diplomatic representations in the respective countries, and to establish direct flight connections between Austria and Bahrain.
At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador informed that he will return to the Kingdom of Bahrain to assume a new position as General Director for Human Rights and Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
